A little window into lush reflected foliage on hazy summer days and ready to hang in your home with all fixings included. Perfectly formed for small spaces or as part of a gallery wall, ‘Drift’ forms part of my ‘Rooted’ collection of paintings inspired by walks with my daughter and, for me, captures those happy memories starting out as a new family.

This painting started life within the Torrs Gorge, set up on an easel (en plein air) overlooking the river and the Millennium Walkway in the heart of New Mills. Acrylic paint is applied in thin layers, and is finished in the studio once I’ve captured the colour and light directly from the landscape.
